We have talked about Nike before on this site about their new sustainability program and I think it is still fair to say that no ones really sure if this is for real yet. However, one thing is for sure, and that is they now have some actual product to support their claims.
Nike just recently released their Steve Nash sponsored Nike “Trash Talk” shoes. The Nike “Trash Talk” is the first performance basketball shoe made from manufacturing waste straight from the Nike plant.

So there’s the specifications of the shoe, you can be the judge if Nike is really making a conscious effort to become more environmentally friendly. Mabey they might want to consider fixing the highly publicized working conditions first? Its good to see an effort but what Nike does in the future with help consumers decide if they really are making a difference. Click here and here for all details and information.
