Wal-Mart Tells Hormones to Hit The Bricks!

Today I caught news of quite the story that will hopefully have a ripple effect on other companies throughout the industry. Giant food retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced that its store brand milk in the United States will now come exclusively from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones.

Now that Wal-Mart is doing it in the States, there is no denying that the people want safe, healthy, and organic foods. The big trick is finding ways to provide it to them that is not going to break the bank. With low priced Wal-Mart making the move, we can only hope that other major competitors follow suit. Already banned in Canada, artificial growth hormones for dairy cows were taken out in1998, but there is no denying the growing demand for ogranic meats and vegetables.
