In the bottom left corner of the page on the sidebar is a badge for the 350 Challenge. A small addition to help make a difference, the simple message that we tirelessly preach here at Ecologicliving.
The 350 challenge, via the website, is ” a small way to show your support to fight climate change. The more bloggers that get our badge, the better. Thousands of readers will know that the climate movement is spreading far beyond the typical “environmental†realm and into the norm”. It really is a great eye catching idea that is a positive step forward for a blog site. 350.org is associated with the company Brighter Planet, who ” work with experts in the environmental movement and partners like Bank of America and NativeEnergy to create practical solutions to climate change”.
The meaning behind the number 350 is that it is the red line for human beings, the most important number on the planet. The most recent science tells us that unless we can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million, we will cause huge and irreversible damage to the earth.
