The “Oil Man” With A Plan

T.Boone Pickens Jr. is a wealthy successful oil man. He has an estimated 3 billion net worth and is a major player in the BP Capital Management Fund. All his life he has been for oil and by no surprise is a republican. However I am not going to talk political agendas or even his past role with big oil, but I will talk about his change to focus on renewable energy and decreasing the U.S. dependence on foreign oil. First watch this video to get a feel for where I am going.

A really informative video and all this is coming from a man that built his wealth from oil. I guess what I am trying to get at is, if a man that has dedicated his life to gaining wealth from such a resource as oil, why can’t we get the rest of the “fat cats” on board. Besides the obvious financial gains that can be achieved from going green there really is no reason not too. So do a little research on T.Boone and you will understand what I am trying to get at. Why 350? 90 Seconds. 0 Words.

So remember way back when, when I was talking about the 350.org campaign? Well heres a quick little update as to how the campaign has progressed.

For starters the website got a small little face lift, they’ve started a global art project, they now have the site running in 8 languages, and have added a video to explain what all this 350 business means.
